WHAT IS THE DRIVE OF DESTRUCTION AS A CAUSE OF COMING INTO BEING?
*SABINA SPIELREIN’S VERSION
The Destructive Dark Mother of Death to me, is also Earth & Cosmic Mother. Known also as Death Drive : Innate ability for destruction.
In an Ancestral Constellation, Earth Medicine or Eco-Spiritual lens:
She is associated with the clay body, cocoon, coffin, the burial, composting soil, the multiplicity of the mushroom and the illumination of a moon-reflection dancing over a midnight ocean. She is the depths, the rest, the release, the freedom, the asphyxiation, the disappearance, the remembering and the forgetting, the winter hibernation, the ouroboros, the devouring snake, the cave, and the dark night. When she comes, she reminds you that she was always there, watching and waiting.
The teaching might be along the lines of living persecutions, she might be a companion for the scapegoated, or perhaps she is showing up during a dramatic, watery earthing:
‘I will teach you not to fear yourself, nor any of the power which flows through you’.
Her recurrence in our lives is urging us to recognise her, to be in relation with her, and take ownership on our capacity towards destruction - to accept this as organic. And while being in relation to her - **not to split into good/bad image**, but rather, hold the space. (This is a reference to Melanie Klein’s object relations, there’s a book reference at the base of this essay, I am not ‘a Kleinian’ at all, but I think the section on Aggression in that book is great.)*
An important part of this is to be aware of when her power is aimed back in at ourselves. And, when we are carrying what she rather could carry with or for us.
We also acnkowledge that this happens along an intersectional framework.
Systems have been internalised. Depression, Self harm, being down and out, is a form of unrecognised healing-balance of and for the collective. The situation is not all on the individual, but in the fact we are swimming in societal systems which deny their own toxicity, the non dialogues between inherited oppressive structures & life-affriming aggressions stay split inside ourselves. As this toxicity reaches bodies differently, it is coming back to being an individual issue because it keeps getting handed down the ancestral lineage.
If you are reading this and are right down in the depths torn apart by destruction or loss : You do not ‘owe’ anyone anything when you are being hit with the forces of destruction - especially not out of any emotion other than your joy, or chosen vocation (service). Its more important to look into yourself and see whats in the psychic space first before making moves in the external.
The central space of all things, is not comfort, happiness, nor is it the light. The central space of all things is within the death: the loss, the absence, the lack, and the darkness. We close our eyes, and go to sleep and we enter into a space closer to the center of things.
This ‘lack/loss’ (which is a Lacanian structure, I am also not ’a Lacanian’) I am mentioning is not the same space as a separation & shame-based ‘lack matrix’, or limbo-type split-layers, where lost parts of ourselves get stuck, when we go through trauma. There are many different types of absence-spaces. Some are like desert wastelands - arid, dry, splintering, fragile. Some are putrid. They are spaces not governed or cared for by ultimately cyclic-affirming spirit.
The absence-space we are talking about in this text is empty, but ‘full with emptiness’ - soaking, as a sea soaks - its chaos is deafening, yet calming and soothing, it might sound like brown sound?, and is porous like the inside of a clay pot that had soil in it, getting mossy. It smells like compost and earthworms. This central absence-space, this receptive, negative space is benevolent in the sence of not personally ill-willed, nor ego driven. This is a space most definitely governed over and care-taken by a cycle-affirming Spirit, who operates a balancing practice of law between all beings.
THE INDIVIDUAL
Death Drive, for an individual, is related to pushing us down a pathway towards ‘self-lessness’. Loosing agenda, loosing selfhood, the death drive’s impact blasts away the individual ‘agendas’, expanding empathy, and opening us up to being in service.
The death drive or destructive dark mother, is a force who brings an individual into vocation, process, presence, in many instances opening that individual up into becoming a mouthpiece for the oppressed, or to speak loud and clear for what does not have a voice.
Crash! She comes and shocks us awake, and out of our complexes. Loneliness, shame, depression, and the ancestral curse is Her, calling you into a deeper version of protection and homecoming. You are here for a deeper purpose and perhaps a more strenuous task than you might have planned. Your Soul might have had it planned though without letting your conscious mind know, (which was perhaps for the better) actually your Soul likely called and orchestrated the whole damn thing.
----
THE SOCIETAL
For a society, the death drive is the entropy, discord, disorder and the transgressive. Strikes, riots, uprisings, these are necessary movements for balancing dynamics - keeping in check hyper-trophic growth of associations around certain archetypal energies, keeping in check power dynamics, opening the societal eye towards manipulation, illusion, power-over, and keeping the flow of psychic energy and the Spirits in cosmic order - destructive mother, the creator of all things and the body of the universe is in charge.
If you are wondering about how she expresses her power, go watch some videos on you tube about tsunamis and volcanoes. There is a reason why island nations with active volcanos possess some of the most potent healing ancient practices known to humans.
Through society, there is a utopian dream being sold to us - through all political and spiritual movements who do not include a recognition of the death drive. This lack of recognition for the value of the dark mother goddess, of death and of destruction, is a gigantic and long term dishonouring, which sets the balance askew - to make her more prevalent in the unconscious shadow behaviours of those social political utopias. Every utopia has an unclaimed footprint, and under the footprint is a big black dog.
By personally not including the death drive, in our conscious holding of ourselves, we project more of it outwards, into the materiality of the world - in eradication of the ‘devils’ and the tricksters within oneself - fear of other is projected through xenophobias, anti-migration, punitive-justice systems and the splitting that toxic-positivity creates.
We have narcissists with too much power, recurring genocide, brutal policing and absurd reasoning on criminality, detention centres for humans who seek asylum, creation of orientalism, terrorism, enough money to end having unhoused relatives and displaced residents on the street during winter, yet the resources go into weapons, border control, and the list goes on.
Is that the death drive, or is that the avoidance of the death drive? Add in climate and nuclear colonialism, and actually it seems like the Destructive Mother is all over the place. But she's not recognised, so she's not held in the psyche, and neither are we surrendering to Her. When we don't surrender she builds up under the surface, as the volcano.

YANG VESSELS - HYPER POSITIVE? - (BOOT CAMP)
Psychotherapy in general, has a drive towards the goal of ‘healed’. But does this destination actually exist? To be healed, to be happy, to be saved, and to reclaim our Soul in a way that enables us to live a Heaven on Earth would be wonderful. I want to tap into Abundance, too. Mindfulness, healthy habits, light work, has its place. In the positive-polarity sometimes we are getting allergic to kinship of darkness, going into distancing and avoidance, policing.
Within all practices, I know that we don't actually ‘get healed’. We awaken, we actualise, we accept, we move on, we forgive, we consciously decide to hold ourselves. We get better at coping, we get better at choosing serenity, and we get clearer about knowing and accepting who we are. We are still threats to the centralising social order of things though, dangerously free in one moment of being, but only so much as a ticking bomb is free, social order keeps us on our toes. We get better at finding ways to keep being ‘viable’. So what does it mean, ‘to be healed’, against being ‘viable’? Surely that is a very personal map and balance for each of us to find within ourselves, as each of us relate to inner and outer worlds uniquely and holding the tension of the spheres is unique and in process, always a new struggle and a new teaching.
A life-affirming and re-claiming soul template can get easily biased or co-opted with the rose coloured glasses, actions and intentions towards, (desperations for) positivity: fixing, perfection, ideals, goodness and this epitomical goal: ‘healing’. Spirituality very easily gets co-opted into something about ‘goodness’ and ‘ideals’ - the split is shame covering and shame generating.
Yes, we wish to make the lives ‘better’ of those who come into contact with us, by way of affirming, holding and reflecting, by realistically investing into places which do enact change. Also by creating contra-energy when it is necessary, and when there is enough containment, for growth and generating agency, power-reclaiming and the capacity of self determinacy.
But even through self determinacy, our triggers are never really dissolved, our lives remain hard, the path does not get easier, as it seems, it just gets harder. We become parents and guardians and the responsability of it all becomes humiliatingly heavier. Also the world reaches into us and degrades us in a mutilating way, as we age. Ontop of that we are all dealing with curses, tricks and trickster spirits in the ancestral lines. In a world where doom ‘is’, we are also not only living, surviving, actually we are dying. We are dying, that is the healing.
There is no way out of the complexity of our situations. Neither can we ‘hand off’ our situation, to anyone else to deal with. Even though it has become overwhelming and unruly, it is still ours, deeply, instinctually connected to us. In some moments where we seek recognition, ‘hope’ becomes foolish and optimism superficial, re-claiming becomes claiming our right to own our loss and transform it ourselves. We must be the ones to walk through it.
NO ACCESS TO THERAPY?
ARE YOU RECEIVING AGENCY FROM DARK MOTHER TO DEVELOP YOUR MEDICINE BAG FOR SHADOW WORK?
Many of us live in realities where therapy is not easily accessible. An absurd side note - Maybe we can’t get access to therapy, in the systems we live in because the era of ‘clinical therapy’ in its current form is ‘over’, and this is again, another expression of the death drive acting through the construct of our society.
Perhaps we don't need that script of brokenness, anymore. Because we are not broken. We are fucked up, sure. We are violent, we are harming, we are boundary transgressing and we have a lot to learn, a lot of failure to do, and a lot to lose. We also need a space to rest, that’s true.
But the lonely, the depressed, or the unseen, dosen’t need pity. If there is pity, we might not have current access to the truth within our own grief.
(It’s ok, I loose contact with my grieving too - when I have to sign into the hustle within capitalism, for example, and end up spending all my money just to stay ‘fast’, and keep my head above water, instead of giving into slowness and greiving and accepting that I am a body in space.)
We need transformation, we need emancipation, we need salvation… but we are not helpless.
Alternative formats are vital, perhaps this is why we have so many artists who are tending to develop their practices in ways which include practice based research as ceremony - astology communiction, reclaiming and belonging circles, somatic, bodywork, conceptual seminars in quantum hyper objects, reiki practices, weaving workshops - which extend the capacity of artistic work into self-actualisation, wellness, recovery or transformation, intersubjectively and within the realm of relation.
To have saved our own lives, is to have been given the tool kit of navigating the dark goddess realm, and navigating Yin. Because even on the pathways of learning from others, and having spiritual guides, at a certain point, all projections fall. At certain points in time, especially if we are covering the ground of sexual traumas, or racial traumas, which are at the deepest points of the Dark Mothers’ Tenderness Grid, the only one left standing for us to ask for guidance is She: Soil Angel of Death and Rebirth.
------
NEGATIVE CONTAINERS : RECOGNISING THE YIN, NEGATIVE, RECEPTIVE VESSEL AS ‘(NON-THERAPEUTIC) IMMANENCE’
The container of constellation, analysis-based spaces, including ritual spaces - that are earth-based, or water based; is ’negative’. These have to be negative: YIN.
The positive element is there, but as an occasional outcome, in the sense that within ritual, we seek to commune with the numinous, and the celebration - the positive - becomes possible, only after the recognition and the axis of the practice, has come. It is a chance happening, a gift, and it can not be a requirement of the initial equation. If positivity is a requirement of the initial equation the deal is too cheap. The soul is worth much, much more.
The recognition of the negative container is a continual return to the surrender to the space of loss. This repetition of the surrender becomes the portal through which we can open towards the sacred, and towards salvation.
Where real joy comes from, is not through being polite, but through becoming tender. Not through making accommodations for others and people pleasing, that is only a temporary way of survival, it can't be our main mode of being. An inauthentic bargain wastes our vital energy and causes chronic illness.
Where real joy comes from, is through recognising, accepting, surrendering, and releasing your real hard earned loss, rage and grief as an offering into the Yin Vessel within.
------
AIMS OF ACCOMPANIMENT : COMMUNION & SALVATION
This does not only relate to an aim of the accompaniment, to open into the negative (vs positive), to access the space of, to recognise and honour the negative, but also and perhaps more importantly, relates to the holding capacity of the energy body - ‘The Yin’ of the analytical vessel.
This means there is no ‘agenda’ within a communion space nor a rush to place an accomplishment-story onto or into it, neither do we force change, nor even schedule it. Change is the constant and yet the vessel always stays imminently and protectively solid, empty, and full.
Feeling the losses is the point of this space, and the negative container allows this, as we meet together within loss.
In these spaces we meet to recognise communion. Within the Yin negative container there is space and depth opened in order to tumble into and unravel. Our only aim is to co-carry the container.
Through repition of the container being grown externally, the container is grown within psychic space also.

Both of these great thinkers have (or are) writing books on The Death Drive.
Highly recommend to check them out.

SELFHOOD & TRAUMA IN RELATION TO VOCATION
Trauma blasts selfhood. Trauma and decentralisation within our psyche might have dissolved a ‘static selfhood’ early on. It is important in this instance to be cautious of burning out in the rational world. Your service is in the inner world first, and that inner world needs to be fully topped up, first.
Especially for highly sensitive, neuro-spicy or self classified ‘empath’ flinta and BIpoc bodies - existing anywhere near western capitalism means there is a level of decentralisation already in your psychic space. (Decentralisation is great for the shamanic, but it needs to anchor.)
If you are reading this, it is also likely you are already an artist, activist or researcher, then maybe learning about the death drive and the power of the Dark Goddess will help explain some of the initiations you are passing through, as the Dark Goddess is an initiator. Perhaps ‘The’ initiator.
For a female, eNBy, trans, 2spirit, non-white, or queer body, there is a need for a containment aspect - weaving needed - to handle the carrying of and walking with destructive mother.
Containments mean having allies and outlets for the dynamic energy. Destructive mother is isolating, which is also needed, so it is a good idea some of your trusted allies be trees, bodies of water, and in nature.
Communion of within deep listening, Communion of Coverns, Sisterhoods, Friendships, Online networks and communions with Nature, and Animals. There also needs to be a community-held containment of Self in relation to the Death Mother.
If you have been merged with her indiscriminately for a portion of your life, making some distinctions are important :
She is not you and you are not Her, she is in relation to you.
Her Totems and Taboos are resting on her, not you.
Your task is to distinguish what you cannot and do not want to carry, and give it to back to Her.
If you are merged with her to the point of not being able to find yourself, I recommend to ask for distinctions. Learn how to ask her to stand or stay in particular shape or symbol, so you can see her as a seperate being from yourself.
Spirit Animals like Scorpions, Snakes and Spiders can be given offerings of poison, and in their crossing of our paths or by their touching into our bodies, they can also suck out poison. There is something about this energy which is Trickster energy. They are double sided energies that are neither purely good nor purely bad.
In our shared past and collective consciousness, there are practices of dreaming - snake temples, where poeple would go to sleep, and within the temple, snakes would suck the poison out, through the dreaming. That was a part of ancient greek pre-socratic life, coming through ancient egypt, and is also a root of hypnosis. The practice of hypnosis was not formed by the person who trademarked ‘hypnotherpy’, the root of all trademarked therapuetic practices come of course from ancient widoms, also IFS (parts and internal family systems), psychodynamic therapy, object-relations, psychoanalyis, all of it, most definitely come through the building blocks of consciousness through ‘the shamanic’ experience. Also, ‘deep listening’ does not originate from a western mind, but rather from indigenous ways of being with the world - whose culture and knowing is formed in relation to rivers and bodies of water - (check out the Miriam Rose Foundation in Australia).
In lieu of a snake temple to go sleep in, set up an altar by your bed. Make sure you have a dreaming journal or conscious place to place dreams also next to the bed with a pen.
Journaling does this, it sucks out poison. In journalling we get to choose who we are, by making a distinction between what belongs to us and what does not. This allows you nuance and to give space to parts which are not always in direct opporsition and reinforcing themselves.
If you’ve been given a big load of death & destruction, taboo, disgust or revolution - you can literally hand back some of the toxic aspects to the Destruction Mother through writing to and asking. You are making a cleaning for society. Ask her for blessing and protection.
Let her protect you and accompany you. Let her suck out the poison of our collective and personal aggression.
The thing about agression is: even if it comes from the outside, into our psyche which it always does, first and foremost = it is ours. That sucks, and it’s not ‘fair’. Our emotional hooks have claimed it nonetheless. And the only person who can do something about it is us.
There is a difference with understanding your intersectionality and swimming upstream against your own inner oppressor, constantly. The oppressor is inside the psyche too.
There is acceptance needed inside the fact that you need a different sense of care than centralised bodies. This is also about finding acceptance space for the toxic.
If we do not clear the agression - the charge - regularily, or understand where it’s at and why, we will continue to be separated from accessing our grief and accessing ease.
What clears stuck aggression is allowing grief - grief is not weakness nor even only vulnerability. Grief is access & fluidity.

ART & CEREMONY
Within Artistic practice and Ceremony are the places with capacities to recognise and mediate (transform) a death drive, without artificially changing it into something positive, and not using it ‘for benefit’.
Art making is a self-hood destructing activity, we work within a medium, the containment of the self is dissolved and merged with the moment of creation and the channeling, (the rebirth). We do not chew up the substance-material of the body/psyche, we don't burn ourselves up amongst it. If we work with the material of the psyche, as a conceptual artist, we do so in a transformative way, that we are changed through the process of having borne the art or entered into the ceremony. The substance and material of the body/psyche is generated. This takes time and is a process, likely a lifetime.
Not serving a particular social role, it is beauty which preserves a death drive and the dark goddess, in her negative state within art. As art, she is remaining, without being forced into a ‘benefit’, without us having to ‘neaten her for consumption’, nor for the positivity/product of yang or anything else.
Anything with a ‘benefit‘ would suddenly counteract the Death Drive, steal her potency, and turn her into positive, only life affirming and thus, she would be robbed of her elixir power: poison and cure. There must be a reason for creating the art and practice that exists outside of the generation of materialistic purpose.
Importantly, we need Ceremony. For real transformation. It is the recognition and the holding that must happen before creativity can really happen or ‘produce’. Ceremony is the space that you allow to hold your grief, anger, and everything else that comes with that.
Ceremony can be rest. It also can be ‘the depression’. Sink into it and learn how to be within it.
The butterfly of death (yes, the butterfly is a symbol of death) and radical transformation needs the cocoon and the incubation.
The process of art making can be the ceremony. I am not talking about the creation of art to exist in the gallery, nor on the stage. I am talking about art which exists purely as an expression of Soul and its beauty.

WHERE’S THE VILLAGE BODY FOR OUR GRIEF?
When destruction, or after destruction is coming, we need that central negative space, a meeting space, the negative vessel, in order to recognise and be held. The inner negative containment acknowledges darkness, depression, anxiety, not as wrong or as other, but as in context, completely understood, valued, part of the process, companion, ally and part of a cosmic kinship.
As we repeat the death drive, as we repeat playing out experiences of loss for ourselves - which is matching not only a ‘desire’ to feel, but also a need to be transformed - we seek Empathy, The Village Body. ’The Village Body’ is a concept known to Grief Teachings and Water Wisdoms of The Dagara in West Africa, and is spoken about in the grief practices of folks who brought it over to the West, Malidome Patrice Some, Sonbufu Some, Francis Weller. The village body can be found within the analytic vessel, the temple, within meditation spaces, perhaps the art studio, perhaps within actions of clay-making and pottery, within drumming.
Within these spaces what is clear is the allowance to experience sacrifice and emptiness.
Most often being in my studio is excruciating, patiently waiting for the time to pass, waiting for the energy to change, waiting for the brain to quieten down. Waiting to not be so aware of my neighbors, waiting until the quiet, the night, the flow. Sometimes I never get to the studio and its just the imagination that it is there that tortures me. I should go... The light of consciousness and rationality is too harsh. For me, this an impact of oppression.
Often, when it is not for sessions, I can only manage to sneak in at night time. The studio becomes a sacred space of hiding, of containing, of digesting, of failing, of emptiness (and fullness). It must exist in this way somehow outside of the capitalist pressure, of need to ‘show’ anything. Only once the pressure of the oppression (internalised) is off, can I really move or think or do anything. Most of the time fighting against the light, is unproductive and I cant create anything of value. In the studio, I needed grieving, earth & water rituals, in order to find emptiness enough to create.
The accumulation of the oppressive, in pysche is an ancestral acculmulation. It’s built up over time.
Melanie Klein would call it Super-Ego, Jung would have called it a Complex, and in Ancestral Healing you would find a name for it in relation to your own lineage, whether it is escaping war, death, loss, genocide, colonialism, what’s constant is it is an accumulation of brutality / oppression / and dealing with aggression.
In a greiving ritual we wait. There are so many layers to not being able to access our grief.
Only through finding a moment of trick - around the harsh lights and pressures of light-consciousess, do we get to find a portal towards what is sacred in the darkness.
Life and life force will come back to us naturally only in accepting, carrying and protecting death and death force.
NOTES ON BERLIN, 2024 - 25
Berlin, is a location which embraces the Death Mother. Even if it does not consciously recognise this. So many creatives moved here to access the space - the freedom - that She allows. And at the moment the dynamics of the city are turning us to go to a step futher through this drive - and into the Revolution and Solidarity.
The Village Body is/was in queer club culture. Transgression. Drag. Of course this sources original dancefloor culture - altered states in the dance and drum beat of the practicing shaman, re-membered through call & response song, prayer and salvation practices of the resilience of the those who were forced into slave labour of colonialism and had to grasp onto Soul through recognising oppression. The blood and bones of why we are really here is the Black & Brown embodied Soul, who knows impact of genoicide already. Carried and contained in song and dance and the soul of the origins of sound, The Darkness of the universe began with spiralling sound: ‘shhhhhhhh’.
What's happening to Berlin in the future - The level of co-option and suppression makes me wonder what’s coming. I do know that being able to carry relationship with The Death and Doom as greiving is a precusor for revolutionary Spirits, and I think this is something that we will all need to foster.
I know that change and transformation is occurring and I know that there is more awakening to be done, into how labour and the capaciity of free speech is a current ‘sacrifice’ that is being made unconsciously to Death Mother. And the load of the taboo is being loaded onto those whose survival truly depends on speaking up.
If we bring death mother into the conscious, If we consiously give that sacrifice, and access some of that loss, feel it, hold it, what kind of power will we receive?
Revolution and solidarity is not made from brittle nor fragile substances within us. Revolution and solidarity is made from the worn-in, the well loved, the tear soaked, the broken heart that refuses to distinguish - out of life-saving rage.
I am currently dreaming a lot about how deep and repetitive the curses woven into the shadow roots of the society in Germany are. I guess dreaming is an awakening and then comes the chance to surrender, hold, and speak.
-------
SELFHOOD DISSOLVING OR SELFHOOD CONTAINMENT PRAXIS? ONWARDS:
To honour the death drive within you, without a purpose, it's important to reserve a place in the psyche, home and altar for death, forces of evil, and the beauty of the absurd. How do I usually push away what I believe to be ‘evil’? How close to me can I or will I allow it? Is it connected to disgust? Is disgust and evil, also within what I love, or within what was meant to love me? Is disgust and evil, something that I have had to belong to, in this lifetime, either within myself, or within how those who love me, treated me? How has it formed me, or am I formed from it?
When in my life do I feel closest to the sacred?
How can I access the sacred in times of loss or depression?
How can I use my own agency to evolve that, so instead of responding to my own victimisation, as if it happens ‘by accident’, and then ‘using’ Spirits only when I need them, or only when it suits me, how can I bring in a more regular self-care practice of honouring this realm, and thus, an honouring of my own need for regularly cleaning my insides with surrendering and feeling through a daily loss?
How can I rather tune my practice into offerings and protections, before I have to be woken up through immense loss and resistance? How can I view how to respond to whacks from the Destructive Goddess as an opportunity to greet her, and as an opportunity to access the Beauty within my great loss?
When I reach towards the sacred, am I open enough to accept to be altered by it? Am I open to transforming?
Can I drop the story of my own suffering or does it still have things to teach me? Or in asking myself this question, has it already transformed?
How can I rotate around instances of loss, welcoming it into my space, accommodating its needs, enough to understand its role in my life as a cleaning, doorway, initiation, or service?
When I make space for downwards moments, can I drop the resistance and enter into a space of surrender, for 4 days and just see how it goes, without pathologising or needing to alter my condition? What is her message for me? How might her messages for me, her repeat visitations, the way she asks me to relinquish control, What does it create within me out of the dissolving, how does this transform me in terms of vocation, outside of any previous social role? Are there new enjoyments coming out of my curiosity to greet the mother of destruction?
About the images that I have placed on others:
Does this help me investigate my inherent misogynies?
Does this help me investigate my inherent racism?
In all of western society and conditioning we are all conditioned through the collective fabric.
What is selflessness to me? What I would be if I was selfless, towards myself? Am I in sacred service to and with, my own psychic space?
-----
INTRA PSYCHIC AFFIRMING PRACTICE IS RECIPROCITY & BALANCE, NOT ‘USE’
Every practice which comes into contact with the body of the dark goddess, as ritual, needs to understand the responsibility of our practices - to make efforts to recognise the people who embody this energy through their identities and heritages.
Research-as-ceremony, a book from Shawn Watson, is allowing co-emergence and information flow through a practice (ie: not centralising the artist, the healer, nor the therapist, and elevating them, as guru, nor as anything other than ‘companion’, and rather stewarding a practice of a community dialogue.)
Within the therapeutic vessel, or within the ceremonial vessel, ‘making lives better’ is not just about eradicating the point of suffering, nor erasing the process of suffering itself, but rather to accept the suffering and the loss that inevitably comes with suffering, as the sacrifice, in order to open towards a greater, or more congruent truth.
And each practice is at its source, coming into contact and learning from indigenous practicing techniques - It must find a way to reference, repair and regenerate attention and resources in that direction in a centralising way that authentically regenerates the needs of the collective from which these practices originate.
There are many layers of this relating to positionality. Travelling to a location to be initiated is not always the right answer and is often a direct result of a having had privilege to travel, also adding to the tourist culture of initiation. If you sit with your own situation, not escaping it, is there an inititation that is authentically waiting for you right here and now, hiden within loss?

BASIC DARK GODDESS GREETINGS IN ASTROLOGY:
The real freedom you will find in psychic space is through the continual subjugation of our own inner oppressors. This might take some trickster feminism (check out the book Trickster Feminism from Anne Waldman), and some anomaly of your algorithm.
Where is Saturn in your chart? What’s gnawing at you there? Whats the infastructure that is so ridgid there? Whats gnawing at you in every day life? How do you answer that gwawing?
Where Chiron is placed might give an indication to your wound portals to access. How can an acceptance of Chirons role, for society and you as an individual, assist you here? Both inside psychic space and externally?
Where is The Moon is in your chart?
Also Lillith, where are her revolutionary and changemaker positions, what does she need to be cautious of making space for - instead of going head to head against?
In your birthchart you could look toward where Ceres is represented, for the Ancient Greek lineage of understanding her impact in your chart. Ceres is Demeter, and can bring in perhaps some supportive infrastructure towards how your Crone is needing to govern or what gifts or wisdom she has to bring in.
Check out where the Hyper Object Haumea is. She is a Hawaiian Goddess of Fertility, an egg shaped entity of ice and water, spinning at record speed. (4 hrs an orbit.)
DARK GODDESS GREETINGS IN RITUAL:
As I mentioned: Journal.
Write to her. Try to figure out what you can give off. What is Dead? What stories are you really ‘done’ with? Which story has more to teach you?
In lineages where grief has been stopped, avoided, this is your Ancestral task. To Grieve. Once the griveing is through, you hand over the Loss, which is like a pile of compost. You hand it to Death.
What does Water have to do with the story?
-----
Walk to the Forest. Get into nature.
Go futher into Rock Energy. Sit and be Earthed. Cocoon.
Get some dirt on your skin. Ritualise a Burial? What does it feel like when your skin connects to the dirt?
Go futher into watching the surface and the depths of Water.
Spend time taking care of nature and feel how the nature takes care of you.
How does your body feel while in nature?
Can you breathe into a space within you, which allows a holding of everything?
Without changing it, pushing it away, or making it positive. Can it just Be?

Let go of our idea for paradise or perfection.
