Multiperspective Oracle is an assemblage of organic elements brought together as a remembering portal, to allow access to inner worlds of depth and reflection.

The Oracle has been gathered at the Dissident Paths Walk ‘Slobber Moss Pee’, and in surrounding areas of Berlin during the winter time afterwards, through divination walks.

Divination Walks

Divination walks are intentional walks where messages are listened to and information gathered, without knowing an outcome, relying on chance and intuitional sensing. The act of a Divination Walk is found in indigenous shamanic practices, from numerous sources around the world and is an opening of the body towards the Spirits of nature to receive wisdom. (references coming here soon.)

The water has been collected in various forms around Berlin’s waterways, during the season of winter snow and ice melting, and constant rain of a beckoning springtime.

Multiperspective Oracle is an interconnected work alongside the Audio Visual from Pol Merchan. Through tactile engagement it offers an altar place to turn towards Spirit, as nature.

How to let the Earth in?

The text offers context and an invitation, asking a veiwer to slow down, lean in, and interact - asking of intimacy, closeness, focus, dedication, effort. A layer of the public or social persona needs to be broken through, or an inner world must be reached for connection with this work. The beauty and unique details of organic elements enter the eyes, connect with the senses of the body and activate resonance of the heart.

Ecological Intimacy occurs when emotional availability is present. Connecting with the elements always requires some resistance to the social and mental speed of our culture. The work invites a viewer into attunement, pacing at the speed of the body, and to develop and self articulate their inner worlds unto oneself.

Conceptual Arrangement

The text deals with the thematic of Death, Shame, Transformation and Liberation - ‘to make good soil’. And draws a reader towards what is essential within.

As healer-heirachy is descentered and inverted, flattened, elements and interactions and relation takes on the central position as ‘healer/healing’.

This is a ‘Land as Pedagogy’ or ‘Elemental Earth as Pedagogy’ approach. Allowing the Earth elements to teach simply by inviting them to present.

#ecospirituality

‘What remains after different collective movements have taken place?
A collection of fragments, memories, processes and (live) practices compose TRACES, an event that brings together elements from Dissident Paths: Walking Together as a Method... 23 walks, led by artists, collectives, poets, and cultural theorists, inviting publics to move together along drawn, imagined, and yet-to-be-discovered paths.

Across a three-day gathering, different artistic traces are interwoven through the formats of a display, workshops, performances and collective meals, foregrounding live contributions as well as the Walk Notations publication launch.

Walking operated as both necessity and a dissident gesture—exposing barriers, reconfiguring infrastructures, and opening space for alternative forms of belonging and collective agency.

Rather than presenting walking as a means of arrival... what kinds of knowledge emerge through shared movement, altered pace, and attentiveness?....’

PLACEMENTS:

The assemblage acts as a Medicine Wheel, marking North, South, East and West directions. A Medicine Wheel acts as a nagivation system, for achieving balance.

The Feathers pointed North. In the Northern direction there was a reference to the Canopy of a Forest, Structural Protection, Air/Wind Energy.

Ash from the Altar was in the Southern and Western directions. South also had a tree branch, acting as a central trunck towards roots. Disintegrating and Decay, South teaches beauty through depths.

East is decorated with an abundance of Seed Pods. Some of these are watery seeds, they look like seeweed. We also have sweet smelling and sticky pods, and an open shell in the shape of Butterfly Wings.

West had freshly collected moss, and mountainous Earth, Lavender (grown by the Artist in Berlin through collective garden practice).

In the centre was Water, amongst scented plant items, eucalpytus, rosemary, moss, earth. The water was recognised as living element, holder of memory, original life data and therefore through recognition, it was blessed.

The written invitations into ritual were placed towards the South West sides, and invited a viewer to lean very close entirely over the centre of the arrangement (almost having to go downwards) to read. All visitors to the oracle were invited to intra-act with all elements, to sing to the water, to offer something to the water, in an exchange so the water could enter the psyche and offer ‘a psychic bath’.

TEXTS:

This text was informed by the spoken words of the guided Multiperspective Oracle held at Habermannsee in September, 2025.

CEREMONIAL PROCESS & INVISIBLE ARCHITECTURES:

Anchoring & framing ritual is important, recognition is important. Recognising something always includes protecting refusals of it to be unseen, lost, forgotten, demolished, misinterpreted.

Anchoring the oracle in a receptive way is a practice made in recognistion of the Spirit of a Place, made so it will be safest for folks to really connect with.

This offering is an invitation for you to allow inner aspects, dynamics & experiences, felt sensations to exchange with this location of the Earth, with all of its perspectives.

The elements invited in were collected through a long time in the praxis, in ceremonial walks, some remnants from the 'Dissident Paths' HabermannSee Journey in September, plus: late winter snow, ice, pouring rains pooling into wetlands.

What was collected was collected because it arrived & availed itself to be: these are all 'tools, or actors, of relation'. #beingandnonbeing

After the time in the nGbK with you, some of the collection will be returned through ceremony-walk once again, perhaps in the sunshine of springtime, & some will return to the praxis.

︎︎︎A sketch of the invisible aspects of weaving, which are existing in non-ordinary reality, as co-emergent psychic architectures surrounding & anchoring the oracle. (made sonically: with drum & through cleansing scents: eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender)

Gratitude to Natthapong Samakkaew @nttpsmkw who was documenting the original Multiperspective Journey scene through drawing practice. Here is a very small selection of some of the hundreds of drawings they made while on this journey.
