Interdependence:
Claiming Agency

“I want to hide something from the humans until they are ready for it.
It is the realization that they create their own reality.”
The Eagle said: “Give it to me. I will take it to the moon.”
The Creator said: “No. One day they will go there and find it.”
The Salmon said: “I will bury it on the bottom of the ocean.”
The Creator said: “No. They will go there, too.”
The Buffalo said: “I will bury it on the Great Plains.”
The Creator said: “They will cut into the skin of the earth and find it even there.”
Grandmother Spider who lives in the breast of Mother Earth,
and who has no physical eyes but sees with spiritual eyes, said,
“Put it inside of them.”
And the Creator said, “It is done.”

A kinship and animinst ideology hands us back true agency.

The Re-Humanisation process of healing doesnt stay at the Human - What I am talking about here is Re-Animiation.

Interdependent discovery within something inside ourselves, that is reflected in everything around us. A system which relies on each member interconnected in independence, is a system of interdependence.

Interdependance is something which occurs throughout nature (for example, the relationship between bees and flowers). The feeling of interdependence is mutual joy and growth, a resonance.

- being understood, seen and being “reflected” towards - the feeling of interdependence is related with the feeling of real love, connectedness and agency at equal balance.

Independent discovery and interdependence is something we need to do shadow re-integration for before we are able to experience. The integration of which, is a continual process, not an attained goal or absolute... This is because our westernised cultures posesses a wound, and through that wound there are dynamics which are relationally oppressive passing through.

Being able to choose from a sovereign place, within our own agency - is about having the autonomy to find our own answers, with our own guides, and access our own power, supported by the interconnected web of wisdom of our ancestors.

Being truly sovereign also means when we come up against our own resistance, it is our own to deal with, in our own time and in our own way.

We deal with resistance inside of ourselves - by working towards uncovering truth. When the world does not understand us, we work on understanding ourselves.

We work towards finding acceptance of each truth, making changes where we need to, calling in transformation.

It’s important to note that ‘Sovereignty’ does not mean ‘out of relation’. Our boundaries are not an electric fence but an effortless and consistent wave of grace and respect.

///////

Such a system of interconnectedness and agency, is possible for us to live within, even if difficult to imagine its existence. It will take being ready to stay in relation through conflict.

When it comes to the Cultural Woundings:
The culture that is ‘sick’ is outside of us, and is the impact of western imperialism, on the earth body.
Especially for those who it touches and breaks apart first. It’s important we allow their resistances as teachers for the collective.

- My edits here were about taking out the word ‘Sovereignty’ from the title and the body of the text.
For a western audience, we are easily allured into thinking sovereignty is a destination.
We can easily congratulate ourselves here with ‘archeiving sovernty’, which is just another mask for brutalism, and a perspective of punitivism as lack-matrix. This allows us a shut-down, bypass, brutal or punitive defence of our psychic-limitations, in the name of ‘boundaries’, which is an avoidance of us getting into the messy space or being torn apart enough to image a collective liberation - ie: loosing privelidge, loosing comfort, loosing sanity.

Sovereignty is an appropriate place to land from a deprogramming from toxic relational entanglements and it is a necessary portal to go through with de-conditioning and de-programming at the personal level, but it is not an ideal place to stay - definetly not as ‘plastic’ - for the collective level.
When we actually need to dissolve into collective liberation, our sovereignty will merge again and be dissolving, into belonging. -

I also took out the word ‘Shamanic’ and instead choose to stick with ‘Animist’ in alignment with the changes I made to this practice in 2021, as De-colonising.
